They didn't get back to me today, so I'm assuming I'll have them ordered tomorrow.

The site is www.mrkustom.com . It'll take 2-3 weeks for design and production before they're shipped, and become a regular production item.

Some dough would be great, but wouldn't you like to see the finished product first?

I would, but after seeing how you get things done (See Seville and Legend), I am not the slightest bit concerned. I will probably order them once I get back to school though, so I suppose I can wait the few weeks

After several emails, we got a design that I think looks fantastic.

The first one they sent me was this:

Obviously, that's not right. The picture of the real emblem I sent them had a little glare on it, so they thought that the chrome between the colored portions was white, and that the blue horizontal lines and "ducks" were black.

The second one looked great, but they accidentally used a lighter color grey between the colored sections. So I had them send one with all light grey (since the emblem is chrome), but it looked way too washed out. Then I had one made in all dark grey. For some reason, it didn't look right, it made it look a little dull and boring, and it made the blue color look too dark.

So in the end, their mistake worked out:

If you over think it (as I do), the chrome on a real emblem would appear different shades of grey (silver) anyway, because different parts are at different angles, so the two different greys aren't all that unrealistic. Anyway, I really like how it turned out.

You have to remember it will be a projection on the ground too. Not like a window decal. That should look sweet!

Just picked up my 97 DeVille today, got it for $800! It's my first car, and the first ever Cadillac in our family. I gotta say, I think I made the right choice.

It needed the AC recharged (might be a leak) the overflow reservoir has a tiny leak in it, going to use some JB Weld for a temporary fix, it needs a tiny bit of body work and a new muffler (current one on the right is completely rusted out). Other than that, it's all good!
