Nice dude. I love seeing the '87 and '88 DeVilles. I wish I could see more FWD Fleetwoods though. Still have yet to see one in real life.
She seems to be missing some badging though. The wreath around the trunk key hole is gone and the Sedan DeVille badge that should be on the rear quarter panel is missing as well.
here are the pics of my 1988 Sedan De Ville,
after i had her plated yesterday. Notice the European License Plates...
I love that car. Pure Porn...
Awesome exterior and interior! I have never seen an `88 in that good of a shape before.
If you want to clean that engine up and get it shiny, use ArmorAll Protectant Wipes on all the black plastic and rubber that you see. Do not use it on the belts!
Here is what mine looks like after an ArmorAll treatment:
@ d c f:
You´re right. They´re all missing. I´ll try to find them and a few other things in the world wide web...
@ USMC:
Thanks for that Info. Your engine compartment looks like new, out of the showroom.
But first of all i will have to clean up everything ...
Thanks for the compliments!
If you're going to do a clean up, I recommend ArmorAll Cleaning Wipes first, followed by ArmorAll Protectant Wipes. The cleaning wipes remove and destroy gunk and old grime, while the protective wipes add the shine. Both of these cost about four dollars a bottle, so, for eight dollars you can have a Cadillac V-8 that looks "right out of the showroom", as you say. Not bad, eh?
Heres my 97' Deville. I bought it about 3 months ago from a private party with 127,000 miles on it. I owned it about 2 months with coolant issues to find out the head gaskets were leaking coolant in the calenders (not cheap). despite everyone telling me to just get a new car at that point, I decided to replace the engine with one that has lower miles. Best choice ever, I love this car! You cant find a car with that much power and get around 27mpg. With that said, heres some pics from after a wash.
1990 Cadillac Fleetwood 4.5l V8. 148,781 miles
Im 17, and this is my first car. Got it for $400 2 days ago. Runs great. Transmission is in great shape. She'll even smoke the tires.. the paint is good their are few scratches here and thier nothing big. That Immitation Convertible top is in bad shape from the sun. The car has spent its whole life of 19 years in Oklahoma.
Everything works except its missing a radio and the Digital Fuel Control and Climate Control show a C on them and dont do anything else. The hood is up for the bad alternator. My cousin has the other 3 hubcaps that are missing. Hopefully get those shortly.
Hey guys... here is a pic of my baby, '95 Sedan Deville. It had 85k when I bought it from a lady I know about a year ago, has 93k now. Before that it was driven all of 5K miles in 5 years (it was her husband's car who passed). It apparently has a remanufactured transmission in it, the motor is really clean and she runs great except for a small oil leak. Oh and the Service Ride Control but from what I hear it happens on a lot of Caddys.
The body is in good shape except for a SMASHED DOOR caused by a hit-and-run driver about 4 months ago.. it's not in these pics.
Now forgive me I know this is a FWD topic but I wanted to post pictures in memory of my (deceased) 88' Brougham... she was torn apart by a shady mechanic and never put back together. He took the cylinder heads and everything off to replace a head gasket and left everything out in the rain for months on end. Every single part was full of mud my engine was rusted out and it ended up in the car graveyard .
Don't worry about the oil leak. Its a 14 year old car (soon at least) and it is just "sweating" as I call it. Mine leaves about a drop a night on my driveway. I really like the wheels on the '95 though, I don't think I have ever seen those ones before. That is also some seriously dark tint you have on there, 5%?
I can actually see where the oil's leaking from, I think a friend of mine called it the oil cooler line. It's a metal line that has a rubber-like sheath around it and runs into the radiator. Might just be an o-ring or something...
The tint is 5% on the back and 35% on the front.. that's the darkest we can have it here in Texas. I've seen darker riding around but I don't see how they can pass inspection.
