Blown head gasket

Remove this ad
I have a blown head gasket on my Cadillac Coupe DeVille '88.
I have purchased a product called BLOCK SEAL. In order to
use it I have to flush the radiator first, but I can't find the
flush valve on the radiator. If anyone could help me with the
idea where it's located? Also I'd like to know what's the best thing to do in my case?

Thank you,
Andy Chersky

I'll do even better for you Andy.
I'll tell you to take the Block Seal back and get your money back.
There's no such thing as a "miracle in a can".
Your engine is commonly known to experience head gasket failures. Fix it, sell it, whatever but just don't waste your money and time with a head gasket in a can.

I'll throw my 2 cents in on this one.I've used K&W Block seal if that's what you bought.Should be a copper colored can.The stuff can work miracles if used properly. It may or may not help your problem. It depends on how bad it's blown. The petcock for your radiator should be on the bottom of it......Now I will agree that it's not the proper way to fix it.If it's blown bad it usually wont.If you're determined to try it make sure you follow the instructions exactly......If it's a 4100 the headgaskets are a little tough but able to be done by 1 person.I had a 88 seville that I put head gaskets on in the driveway on a Saturday.....Good luck to you.
