Transmission Capacity 1994 Deville 4.9L

Remove this ad
Hi All,

Normally I would look this up, but I am at work and want to get the parts on the way home. Does anyone know what the capacity is for the transmission on my car? Im not sure what the tranny number is, but it is in a 94 deville with 4.9 engine and has the electronic limited slip FWD.

I have been searching threads, but not finding the capacity. However I have seen some posts about being able to drain more fluid by removing an addiitional plug at the cover? The way I have been doing this so far is just drain everything out of the pan. Am I missing something?

That only applies to the Northstar transmissions (4T80-E). Your 4.9L Deville has the 4T60-E transmission, so it is just drained by dropping the pan down.
