    Help Door won't Open

Picked up a 79 sedan deville at auction. Driver door won't open and has hole where lock is. Repair Manual says take the door panel off for any repair. Problem is the door is closed. Any Ideas anyone? Please help

use a slimjim to open the door lock. You can get one at autozone or the like, im not sure. If not you can find one online. Its a long piece of metal that goes down the jamn between the glass and the door and it unlatches the door when it picks up the latch. have fun

i just bought a 72 deville, and there isnt a passenger side door handle at all, nor is there a lock cylinder. however, to unlock the door you can stick your index finger in the lock cylinder hole and there's a piece of metal you might have to feel around for, but you flick it to the left (or whatever direction the key turns to unlock the door in your car) and the lock pops up. then i can stick another finger in the hole where the handle is supposed to be and push this plate in toward the car while using my other hand to pull the door open, but i suppose if your handle is still intact you can just use the handle.
