I am going to be out and about for a year and a half and I just bought an '03 DTS that I plan on keeping. Anyone got any advice on what I should do to insure that the car still works when I get back.

So, the judge read you your horoscope, eh? Told you you'd be taking a 1.5 year journey to the old Crowbar Hotel? Not to worry though - put a trickle charger on the battery, raise it up on jack stands, don't close the doors all the wey, so you don't crush the rubber door seals, and you should be OK/

Check out the storage facilities to ensure you're getting a secure and rodent-free spot.

Disconnect the battery. Put it away after the engine & trans are up to operating temperature and do not have anyone do periodical starts, unless they are going to get it up to operating temperature.
