accelerator and brake shaking+service engine light???

so today, my 2000 Cadillac Deville started shaking when I turned it on also the service engine soon light came on. does anyone know what the problem is?

Lots of possibilities. Run diagnostics and pull the codes. Instructions should be in the Tech Tips section if you don't know how. Post the codes and you'll get more help.

don't I have to go to the Cadillac dealership and pay $400+ to check the computer?

No, you don't need the dealer. Search for "pull codes" theres about 59876967 posts that tell you how. Essentially you hold the climate control buttons and any number of codes will scroll across your info center. Each one has a meaning, post them.
