Flame throwers for a deville, and how effective will this be? I have heard of all the pro's and cons. but i was wondering if the catalic converter would cause too much of a restriction to be worth it.
I just don't wanna go through the hassle of getting it set up and then be out done by a cigarette lighter!!
i have seen different plans on line, both the do it yourself ones, and also plans like the (eatmyflames.com) http://www.eatmyflames.com/
What are your thoughts on this? |

I am sorry, I have seen stupid things on cars and that has to be one of the top 3 things that would make a car look trashy! I don't see any purpose to it at all!

Im gonna have to disagree with everyone. I have seen them on countless street rods and i think they look pretty badass. Granted they are illegal and shoudln't be used by someone thats gonna be an idiot with them. Im not sure how well they will work tho with your stock exhaust setup and i also dont think theyd be the best thing for your northstar. But if you like them, do it |

when used properly they are kinda nice, but i wonder how they would affect the plastic bumpers on our devilles |

They would probably melt the bumper, or at least bubble the paint. Yea 2001 deville is no street rod, maybe if it was a 67 deville convertible, now im day dreaming. |

Pearl white with purple graphics and interior. It was awesome at night seeing that thing three wheelin' down the road spittin' flames.....
i think on a Deville it would have to be totally custom airbags paint and all....
Definitely not on a plain Deville it just wouldn't look right. Now if it was slammed and 20"s and tinted and custom paint then I would say maybe....but its your ride.....I don't the the converter would be too big of a deal. |

and catching the bumper on fire won't be cool!
I think I will find an oldschool and put the throwers on that!
thanks for the input! |
