Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

Oh yeahr! If I didn't want a performance car I wouldn't have got a N* equipped one. I love the way my car sounds now at WOT since i jerked the silencer horn thingy out of the air cleaner box.

Thumbs up Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

Absolutely! I found myself some clear sailing on some local highways recently and i let my 1995 4.9 litre Deville RIIIIIIP!
I was amazed at how quick this engine really is.I was over 100 mph before i knew it.
It`s really good for the engine to blow out all the carbon deposits every now and then.

I second Frost's comment above...take a look at some of the old Guru's sage advice on prior threads.

Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

I hit WOT frequently during passing or something. As far as really letting it go and seeing all the shifts at redline. Maybe once a month.

Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

Yes, two weekends ago. 1994 Deville Concours WOT followed by 126 MPH on I-75. Not something most people on the road expect out of a "grandpa style" Cadillac.

Smile Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

At least twice a month, I open 'er up a bit...I've never hit top end, but I always hit at least a 100mph. Out here in Wyo., plenty of wide open freeway space with no one around.

Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

Yea I drive my 99 Deville like I stole it sometimes. It's fun. I still burn a little oil, but at least I don't get puffs out the back when i do it. I got 136,xxx miles and it's still quiet at idle and still runs like a champ.

Re: WOT!!!Ok People Be Honest.

No need for high speeds in doing this procedure. You can do it and stay within the legal speed limit.
