| Re: Storage Mode Its designed as a built-in stop-gap measure if your going to be storing the car for an extended period of time. However, I dont really recommend using just that feature alone if youre REALLY putting the car away for a while.
For that, your best bet is to put the battery on a trickle charger that will maintain a solid charge level, then put in a fuel stabilizer so the gas does not gum up or rust the internals due to water infiltration, and if the car is going to be kept inside, dont close the doors all the way. By shutting them just to the point before they are fully latched, youll maintain the elasticity of your door seals and prevent future leaks and cracks.
