| Re: Quick MAP sensor question I own a '94 Concours also, and just replaced the MAP. The electric terminal end has a locking clip (on the top of the MAP in your picture) which only allows the connection to go on one way. You have it on correctly. Even if the clip is broken off, the telltale trace of where the clip used to be will show that the clip strattles/locks onto the square raised tab of plastic on the MAP sensor itself. My MAP didn't have ABC labeled on it, but the connection did have CBA like yours.
When replacing mine I encountered a problem in that my 4.6L N* has a MAP sensor that should be on a 4.9L! It is a totally different design from a 4.6L (which looks like yours) and the male/female pins were reversed. The dealer and ACDelco Tech line was at a loss for an explanation, as the wiring was original, and not "spliced". It was a GM "one off". I found a correct replacement from Lee Auto Parts after the dealer gave up trying to help me find the correct one. |
