PO40 code for cadillac deville 94 4.9L

does any one know what a P40 code is for a 94 cadillac deville 4.9L..I was driving it today and it was running fine and then all of a sudden I could not accelerate or steer, the car died. I pulled to the side and it restarted fine. It did it again on my way back home, other than it dying, it is running fine . I checked the stored codes and i got a PO40 code..i don't know if it is related to what it is doing or not??

I would appreciate any help.....

The power steering preesure switch helps with slow manuvers in parking lots, at stop lights, and stop signs. If it goes out your car will have a hard timing idleing. What you could do is turn on the car and while its in park turn the wheel all the way to the left and then to the right now if it cuts off then you need to replace the Powersteering pressure switch. Oh and yes it will make your car die.

The power steering pressure switch is monted on the steering gear.
