| Rear Proportioning Valve I took the 94 Concours to the dealer to see about the leaking brake line that I thought I had. They put it on the lift, and showed that the rear proportioning valve was leaking. They would have had to ordered the part, so I told them to reschedule it to next week. But then I started thinking, well, maybe I don't need to pay for 2 hours of labor for this job. Maybe I can do it myself. So, I read all of the threads that I could find about the subject, and found out that all you have to do is remove the old valve, put the new one on, and bleed the brakes. I'd like to save the money and not have to pay the dealer for 2 hours of labor, just because it takes them that long to bleed the brakes. So, is it a possible DIY job? Are there any special precautions about bleeding the brakes on it?
Thanks, and God Bless,
Dave. |
