    Best way to clean Tru spoke cadillac wire wheels?

    Whats the best cleaner out there to clean Wire wheels?
    I have 2 sets of them and need to clean them up.

    I have wheel acid at work, this stuff is great, but i didnt know if there is another product out there. Plus i havent tried it on the wheels.

    To bad thats not my car. Is just a example i used for the wire wheels... Who doesnt like to see factory wire wheels. I know all us RWD guys love em.
    White is my color...




    The burgandy one is mint though, it was on ebay a while back... beautiful FL car.... all the options.... low miles... And the price tag.

    A couple months ago, I detailed a guy's white '91 Brougham that had the wire wheels on it, they were dirty as hell. I used eagle one wire wheel cleaner, and a 2" paintbrush with duct tape over the metal handle to prevent scratching. The wheels came out looking MINT. Best way I've ever found.

    Acid is the only way to clean those wheels, most people however don't know how to work with it. you must rinse down wheel first, do one wheel at a time, you have a short window to work with, after 15 seconds, rinse it off. you can increase your working time depending on how bad the wheels are. start with 15 seconds, then go to 30 seconds, and so on, the worst wheels I've ever done It took a dwell time of 45 seconds, but the wheels looked like brand new.
