,,,,,,,at least in the future - it's too late for me now, just have to let the damn stuff wear off and then give the leather a REAL conditioning. the product? Meguiar's Gold leather conditioner in a black spray bottle. This is the very first Meguiar's product that has let me down mightily. I only got the damn stuff because it is getting much cooler up here now and the Leatherique cleaner/conditoner make a large deal out of making sure it is appliedo n a hot day - with the windows rolled up, no less.
So, since the car is going away in a week or so for the winter, I figured I would pick up this other conditioner (with no limit on termperature) and give the seats a nice bit of aloe and vitamin "E" to help keep them supple over the dry warm storage months.
My seats now look like they're covered in plastic fer Chrissakes! They haven't been that shiny since I got the car - and the only reason they were shiny then was because the original owner NEVER touched them - they were hard as a rock, shiny as HEll, It took many, many applications of Leatherique to bring them back to a nice, soft, supple, MATTE finish. The kind you could lay your hand on all day with no qualms at all.
To say I am disappoined would be a great injustice to the word "disappointed"! I am beyond angry -=I am INFURIATED at what the interior of the car now looks like. And it is now too cool to do anything about it. Soft? Sure - it's slicker than whaleshit at the bottom of the ocean - but it is also so shiny it would make a dead man's eyes bleed to look at them.
