I am looking to purchase a DA Buffer. I have used the old rotary style for years. I used to work with my father at an auto body shop through my younger years and was the "wheel man" as they called me. I have a one year old STS and really did not want to go so aggessive with buffer and keep hearing Gary talk about the DA Buffer and how beginners can use it and thought it would be perfect. My car is black and has no real blemishes, but just a few that are not coming out by hand. Like i said i really do not want to go over board, i would rather be as easy as possible in the beginning and if needed work my way to more aggressive means.
Any advice on where i can get my hands on one, what brand is best, and best for price. Any help is appreciated.
One last question, I use Gary's paint cleaner/polish, but i was wondering if anyone else uses just a straight polish after the cleaner and before the sealant. If so what brand. Like i said i have a black car and always have so i am always looking for the perfect mirror look!
Got great deals packages AND products (meguiars of course)!
Hurry now, they are having a huge 50% off sale on certain things AND they have DA Polisher (Buffer) promotion kits. Instead of a Meguiars PC for 225$ (just the machine), you can buy Kit #1 which includes the Meguiars PC (with LIFETIME warranty) 1 polishing pad and 1 finishing pad for ONLY 150$!!!
The Meguiras DA buffer is actually made by Porter Cable they mark it up $100 and give you the warrenty. The dual head buffer is called the Cyclo, don't really use it much anymore, I like the DeWalt 443, much better machine and costs is near the PCanyway. bought mine at amazon.com buy my dvd and learn how to use them the right way.
