    eagle one - nanowax

i just used this product. its basically wax that doesnt haze. am i suppose to wash the truck after i apply the wax? i put 2 coats of it. cause with the other wax it usually wipes off to a very clean finish. do i need to wash the car because it left alot of spots that i cant seem to buff out by hand. like excess wax. will washing the car actually remove the wax or is it ok to do it right after.

The purpose of hazing is to know when to remove, How long did you let it sit on there? Try applying more wax on top of the spots that won't buff off, then buff off immediately. This should loosen it. Not sure if you clayed, but if not you should next time; it makes all the difference. Also, any wax should be allowed to set up (not wiped off) for at least 24 hours before being exposed to water (washing,) especially sealants. This is so the wax, or polymers in the sealant can properly bond to the paint surface. You will also see an increase in wax durability and look if you steer clear of water for those first 24 hours.

You could wipe the car down with a damp towel. You just may have applied too much too fast, as said try to give it some time to dry and then try buffing again, and claying should be done every year or two to keep the surface clean of contamination. Eagle sent us some of this to try last year, and while it worked ok it does not have great durability, but it did go on and come off very easy for me.

See my post regarding this called 'redefining nano'. I think it's crap and doesn't come off for shit. It never dries it just keep smearing and smearing and smearing.

Codewise does not speak in false tongues. When it comes to car appearance products, it is the tried and true that will always win the race. Stick with products like Meguiars - a good, all around line of products, or go up a couple of notches and go with Gary's polyseal line - dazzling end product with very little effort. Or go ZAINO, if you have the time and inclination. Great results from them, too.

I've heard people who have sworn by Eagle products - and people who've sworn AT their products.

I swore by Meguiars products for a long time with great results. I feel that I just upgraded by using Gary's Poly Seal products. Great results with no effort. Try them, you will be amazed.

As you know, wax has been around as long as automotive paint, like 100 years, the technology has evolved so much say in the last 5-7 years with synthetics, that its soooo much easier to work with plus you get better protection. why do you think car dealers have capitalized on this segment of the industry? charging upwards of $900 for one application? if more people knew they could get my sealant for 12 bucks and do 4 cars ($3 per app) what do you think these people would do that spent $900 for it? can you say suicide? When I bought my car they asked if I wanted to acrylic coat it. It was like $300 but they guaranteed that it would never scratch, chip or fade for the life of the car.Now that I have some small stone chips in the front I wish I had spent the money. They also offered a similar product for the interior saying that it would never stain, fade or wear.

They are not lieing when they say you never have to wax or seal your car? I guess I don't even have to take a shower either right? I think car dealers went to law school first. Gary

I would really love to read the fineprint on some of these paint sealants/acrylic/teflon coats that car dealership sell people with a promise that you will never get a scratch, your paint will not dull, blahblah blah. That $300 will be much more useful for a repaint than their "wonder wax."

PS - Gary, nice seeing you on another board other then just detailing boards.

I read your link and was quite surprised.
Im curently using the Eagle-1 Nano Wax and have had no problems whatsoever with smearing and removal.
Ive found it comes off very easilly and leaves a beautifull finish.

Ive actually neglected my vehicle for about a month now. Whenever Ive managed to have the time to get to cleaning it there has been a call for rain (but didnt) or something else has come up. Ive actually been hoping for rain to get at least a rinse off.
Well it rained today, and when I pulled into the garage it was beading and running off as though Id waxed it on the weekend.

I do appreciate the link though. Might try some of the other recomendations when I need to buy more. But for now I actually have found the wax to be much easier to remove than others Ive tried in the past.

Ive been washing with the Eagle-1 Lava.
Then using the Meguiar's detailing spray and clay.
    Then the Eagle-1 nano.
Meguiar's Endurance for the tires (usually 2 coats)
And Meguiar's Hot Rims for my rims.

    Smooth as hice.
Insects were havin a hockey game on the trunk LOL.
Sure...anyone can get a reflection off a darker vehicle; but when you can see yourself in silver its quite impresive.

In no way am i sayin its the best.
Just sayin that Ive been pleased with the ease and the results.

Looks pretty shiny to me. I guess everyone has a different experience with the stuff. I will say when you're in need of supplies again, do yourself a favor and give Gary's stuff a chance.

Im ready to order from him but Im not sure as to what I should get.
Ive read that some people are using some of his products in combination with others ie: Meguiars.
Ive been to his web site a couple of times but am still a bit confused.
Guess what im tryin to figure out is what would be the most important ones ?
