    Question Best Car Wash Product?

I've reached the end of the Griot's Car Wash gallon I purchased, and it was good, but I'm ready to try another brand. Any suggestions? Is there something esoteric out there that members are keeping a secret? Thanks.

No secret with car wash solution, this is one area you can buy whatever is on sale. Griots garage is overpriced, go to your local auto store and see what they have. the area you should NOT skimp on are your polishing and sealing supplies, you know where to go for those products I hope, www.perfectautofinish.com Gary

I respectfully beg to differ as I borrowed my neighbor's Meguiar's Gold Class car wash twice now, and it takes at least double the amount of Gold Class to come anywhere near the level of what Griot's car wash does.

Well, shucks - that's the brand and type I was going to suggesr you use - Meguiars' Gold Class - it is thick (don't have to use much at all for your wash bucket) and the suds stick around 'til the final wipe around the bottom of the rockers. At least that's been my experience with it, and I've been using it now for a number of years.

So let's see what the others suggest, eh?

My post earlier reminded me of a joke. A woman goes into a drugstore and asks the pharmacist what she should get to treat her husband's dandruff problem. The pharmacist replies, "Just give him Head and Shoulders." 3 days later her husband's dandruff problem still persists. She goes back to the drugstore asks the pharmacist, "Ummm, how do I give him shoulders?"

I've tried 100s of car wash products over the past 40 years. The best product to date, (been using it now for 4 years) is called "No. 7" (Number 7) and is made by Cyclo Industries of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
    http://www.cyclo.com
    Product # 16140
Give them your Zip Code & they'll tell you who sells it near you.

You will like its price (Under $3.00) and at 8 Oz. it lasts some time. You use 2 tablespoons of it, in a large pail of water. Itr does NOT remove wax and gives a sillicone glow.

Every one has their opinion on soap just like detailing supplies. Don't know who else here details for a living like me, I have also tried plenty of soaps, I have found the the higher quality soaps have a higher concentration of lather. The point is, use whatever car wash soap you like, just stay away from dish soap and laundry soap. Gary

Gold Class Car Wash - Great Lubricity and Conditioner, leaves it really nice and slick.

NXT Car Wash - With Engineered Synthetic Polymers, also works well with water spots (does not remove them!) to help prevent them.

Great choice, I didn't mention it because its from the professional line and people would probably have more trouble finding it.

It's located here, but it seems to be only in the 16oz. size:
