DON'T paint the roof! sorry, but thats makes me shudder.

I'd go with the cloth top, dark brown would look nice, but black might look better with that color body. You see, I have a '79 Coupe Deville with a dark brown cloth top, back then they were called Phaeton tops, and were actually a special model in the brochure. The Phaeton is my favorite Cadillac ever, so whenever I see a cloth top, it really stands out to me. I've even thought of getting a new DTS as a daily driver, and getting a cloth top on it to be like a modern version of the Phaeton.

I wouldn't get the wheel arches, that, I think would be a little much with a cloth top, I mean, I don't think you want it to look like hugge bear is gonna step out of it now do you?(fake '70s pimp). rocker moldings would look nice though, just enough to catch the eye and add a little more style.

Get the cloth top! You know its the right thing to do

P.S. will this car be getting any other mods too? like a grille, vogues, luggage rack. I really hope not, that would go to far IMO.

    But maby vogue tires, hmm...

Tires, to me, should be blackwalled and nothing else. I know the Vogue are popular (more a regional popularity than anything else), but they just seem unnecessarily busy and take away from the wheel and the car.

I think I agree with you. Have you ever seen my STS?

I love this car. I recently considered selling it to the right person, but no one responded.

None of those mods, but I did consider the trunk spoiler. I think that may be over the top also.

The end result should be a car that maintains it's classiness yet makes a tough statement. I don't want it pimp. That would be better on the Brougham. Gangster would work but not overly gaudy.

A trunk spoiler would probably not be to much, it might look a little odd with a cloth top though, I meam spoilers are supposed to be very sporty, where as the cloth top is more classic and luxury. And I think a black cloth top with Cashmere paint would be very gangster if done right(no bolt on pimp chrome everywhere)

Nice STS too, later I'll get on and send you a message, and them you can check out the Phaeton (I have it on there too).

    Ben.
