    Finally did my own car............

It was raining the other day and my Porsche turbo cancelled his appointment, so I detailed my Cruiser. It has been so long that I can't remember when I detailed it last. I think its been 8 months. I'm happy to report that my paint sealed was still holding up fine, but for the love of detailing, I went through all the steps again. I guess I'm a little spoiled to have a nice shop to do the work in, one thing I forgot to mention you have to do while detailing is you need to have the tunes blasting. It motivates you while you work. a couple of things while I'm thinking of it. its best to use free flowing water to rinse your car, that way the pressure doesn't generate more suds, seems to rinse faster as well. for drying I use the electric leaf blower, and waffle weave towel. Keep the WW towel away from sharp edges as is it could frey. I used my DA buffer (to save time) with my cleaner polish, but its fine to use by hand. use Micro fiber towels for removng product, never use them to apply anything, make sure you allow the paint sealant to set up for about 15 minutes before you remove. dress the tires while they are still wet and clean, do not remove excess product, allow to air dry, it will dry clear and give a satin look. put a coat of polyseal or sealant on the wheels. don't forget to do the same in the door jams. sit back and enjoy the refection. Gary
