    Exclamation First Rust ...help

While washing and whipping my cherry belle w/ a diaper this weekend. I noticed a spot, on front windshield frame, where a rock got me, is starting to rust.
I have several road/rock chipps and I guess I've just figured that I can see 'grey' and assume it wasn't to the metal yet...but it must be?
Should I get CLEAR touch up paint, and cover the innocent chips, before the trouble starts?
And, what can I do or have done, to stop this rust business, before it gets outta hand???

    Help and thanks in advance.

Good thing you noticed it before it spread. If I were you, I'd ask myself how much I'd be willing to spend to get it fixed. If the car is worth something, you might want to take it to a body shop and get an estimate, shouldn't be too terrible for a tiny little spot, but if it's bigger, it needs to be sanded and re-painted.

Maybe too many to sit there and get them all perfect? I know it would take me forever to get mine and I would never be happy with my results.

good question.....I heard (round here) that it would only stand out worse, w/ the "Matching" crimson pearl..(like impossible to "match 100%)..the spots are small enough...NOW....
I'm not trying to cover the 'holes' so much as 'stop from rusting'..

    Re: First Rust ...help

and thanks for you guys who had some comments...I was worried for a minute...

problem is, I'm broke, and really can't spend the dough...even though, I want to, as this car is ALL I GOT, and does mean alot to me....(rolling in summer/upper 80's w/ no AC )
    sigh..
well, good thing I have a garage, or she'd probably be a rust bucket now.
