I have a 2000 Deville with chrome rims and they are starting to pit. I have not drove it in the salt and have kept it clean. Is anyone else having problems with these rims?
My 2003 CTS 17" rims have some small pits in the corners... I don't think you have any way to fix it, but you can prevent further damage by waxing them.
There a particular thread in here that shows how to fix this. Search for "Chrome Rims"", Ill look for it and post it, maybe its what you guys are talking about.
Pretty common for factory wheels to start to pit in the first 2-3 years, keep them clean and "waxed" that will help them look good longer.
