As Seen On Tv
Was at a local Circuit City (Katshot knows this one, Oxford Valley...) and as ALWAYS I pack the silver Boatillac as far away from things as possible. Unfortunately this lot is graded sharply away from the store (meaning all carts roll downhill towards cars. I did think about this but it was not that busy and really thought I was safe. Anyway-sure enough-somebody who I really hope ends up like Tillie Tooter (Rember her? Ended up in a gully filled with muck and lots of mosquitos for a week before she was discovered [she didn't deserve that-but these people DO!!!]) let their cart go. There is NO WAY they did not see this happen and it is obvious they made NO ATTEMPT to stop it from happening. Anyway I came out and found a shopping cart embedded in my passenger door. These are serious dings as that cart had momentum.
Here is my question: Do I just live with these (VERY noticeable) dings? (I can't). Do I go out and try that AS SEEN ON TV do it yourself ding remover thing (I think its Billy Mays selling it) and hope it doesn't actually make things worse? The dings are dings (not crinkled) and the paint is not cracked.)
It really bummed me out-it is beyond me how people just let that happen and with the set up there I know without a doubt they had to have watched it happen-and that they had ample opportunity to stop the cart but did nothing. My friend was pissed at MY attitude about the whole thing until I mentioned that its only money-how about coughing his up to rectify the situation.
I want to fix this before the poor old car starts to become a white-trashmobile. HELP!!!

Re: As Seen On Tv
I don't trust those things. Yeah, I see their ad over on the left, and I know I shouldn't bash a sponsor.
If it were my baby, I'd fork out the $100-$200 to Dent Doctor and let a professional take care of it.

Re: As Seen On Tv
Dent Dr. or Dent Wizzard or a competitor is the only way to go!!! I have seen first hand some of the miracles that they perform and the are worth their fee, in spades!!
I have been to Oxford Valley Mall, too - once. I am from up Northern Jersey - home of Seton Hall. Those woman don't give a crap whose car they hit, as they drive garbage, most of the time. ODDesees, Kias, honDUHS and the like.
Here's a tip. When a shopping place is banked like that - parked up high (Read: close to building...) BUT far off, like at the turn to go 'round back of the building.
NEVER next to ANY Sport Ute!! If you're with someone and they question your choice of parking space, tell 'em what I do:-
Next time we'll take YOUR car & then YOU can chose where to park. That ALWAYS quiets them!!
