I know a few of you are concerned with the gap and some don't really like the angel eyes (I personally do). I considered thins kind of MOD before when a performance shop by my home had an older Silverado projector conversion. They sold it before I returned the next day with my headlight assembly removed to check clearences and fit.
There are a lot of conversion options for the Silverado, so many companies make kits for them. They also have non-projector ones too, and they are a lot cheaper. I looked very close and also took some brief measurements, and I don't think there will be much gap with these (if any at all).
The second ones look like they would fit better. I personally prefer the BMW lights but the gap is my main concern. I already have an E&G classics billet grill so i'm not able to do the Eldorado grill thing. I can't have the fenders shaped to fit because of the special paint job my car has. It would cost a small fortune. I wonder what else can be done to take up the gap. Maybe a filler light like on the 92-95 SHO's a dummy light if you will.
Here is a pic of my SHO from awhile back you can see the dummy light there.
Something like this could be made to fit and fit a turnsignal light to make it useful.
just my 2 cents
your gonna have alot of people askin you how to do this
DO A WRITE UP
it would help everyone out immensly rather than having to pick up tid bits throughtout all 8 pages of this thread, hell id attempt it then.
One you write it up and can be put in the tech tips section like mine was http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...d-digital.html
anyways as i said before they look absoutly amazing on your car bro and i def plan on doing it myself but a write up (along with pics) would help EVERYONE out!!!
WOW! Well Done. That looks really nice. I'd paint the complete corner/turn lamp gloss black and move your turn signal lamps inside your headlamp assys or to the fog lamps/driving lamps. I have smoked GTS covers that wrap around the corner lamp lens so I get it all blacked out (which is the effect I want). I like yous thought. How well do they preform? I 86'd my front plate too. I hope the OPP don't notice. Brad in Ottawa, Ontario
I want to do this now. Is the top the only place the housings mount up or do they sit on something below? Can you make me some of those top screw mounts I will pay you $10-15 shipped to texas. Can any e36 light fit, US and Euro? The connectors are different that is why I am asking. Is there a headlight mounting panel that needs to be cut or does it just need to be trimmed? Let me know.

Got mine in this weekend. Was a real pain in the ass: grinding frame, reshaping side marker assemblies (STS corner assemblies don't fit either), hammering the hood and fenders. And then when all was done, it kept blowing the Fog/DRL fuse. So I searched here to shut off DRLs, did that, replaced fuse and everythings good now. Only thing I can think of on the fuse issue is its not enough amps for the H7 projectors and LED "Deamon-Eyes." Now for the good news - projector lenses are 200% better than OEM and the Angel-eyes with the chrome backing complement my grille nicely. This pretty much completes my mods for the front of the car. Time to go on vacation.
