    Removing Marker

What's the best and safest way to remove marker from paint? There is about a 7 inch line of marker on my drivers door. Thanks.

    Re: Removing Marker

I have been successfull removing some or most, sometimes all of the marker lines from plastic surfaces with WD40 or other penentrating oil similar but that may be too rough or even remove some of the paint. You might try rubbing on a painted surface that is hidden or inconspicuous to see if it is harmful. I'm not sure about it.
Have you tried a cleaning wax product?

I would try Goo-Gone. I use that stuff a lot on getting rid of the glue left behind on vinyl lettering. It won't hurt the paint.

WD40, rubbing alcohol, clay, or any cleaner wax product.

Oh, someone did, about 25 minutes after I got home from school (Binghamton University). They just walked passed the truck and I noticed later when I went to unload all my stuff.

Sorry to hear that. I can't believe the ignorance of some people these days. At least they didn't key it. Glad you were able to get it out. Looks real good.
