    1992 Brougham milky trim fix?

Tried so far: Neverdull, Mother's Aluminum Polish with Dremel white cloth wheel, #0000 steel wool. Anyone have any experience with this?I've heard everything from Easy Off to acid. I'm looking for a fairly painless on-car fix. Thanks in advance!

The trim is coated. You'll have to remove the coating and polish the metal. Unfortunately, the correct/easiest way to do that is with a buffing wheel, with the trim off of the car. I had the same problem on my '89 Custom Cruiser.

Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of what i've been reading. I wouldn't be so wary of that method if the clips weren't so hard to replace when i break one (or ten...)

I'm gonna try a little section this weekend.Might hit it with some 2000 grit first to get through the coating(I may have to go finer), then Wenol after that.At any rate, "The Godfather" gets put in storage off property for the cold and road-salt laden PA winter on Tuesday. I will report my findings!

I have used super fine steel wool with Wenol and that works fairly well. It will gunk up a pad with all the junk you get off with it.
