Does anyone know if the brake lights on the 2000 Deville can be upgraded to brighter LEDs if I was looking to do a tail light tint???
That way I can still meet the SAE 300ft visibility requirement.
You need to study why LED's in filament bulb reflectors usually don't work........ and why the lighting circuits in your car depend on a certain bulb load/voltage drop which LED's do not provide.
Look up the filament brightness for the dual filament #3057, 3157, and 3457 bulb series. You CAN get a bit more brightness with a simple bulb change. The GE automotive lighting site.
