    Any good methods for restoring the chrome shine to my grill on my Deville

    I'll bite. Isnt this sort of similar to my thread about getting scratches out of chrome? Maybe that high grit sandpaper could be used. I'm just waiting for that guy to try it on his chrome first.

    No! the grille is chromed plastic IIRC. No chrome polish or steel wool, the plating is too thin. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. I haave found that when cleaned up, they "come back" pretty well unless theres actual physcial damage, like a stone chip. Maybe ask DopeStar, his grille looks beautiful and i think its chromed plastic as well.

    on my deville i just use my regular car wash solution and scrub intensely hard with a sponge on the grill. works very well.

    I use an old showcar trick from way back - after you've cleaned the chrome, finish it off with a blast of Windex - unbelievable the shine that stuff brings to anything chrome, metal OR plastic-based.

    Try it - you won't be disappointed.
