Wow... I couldn't believe it, I got out of the car today and the metal zipper on my jacket Scratched right into the leather on the the steering wheel . I'm pretty dissappointed since the car is mint and it's right where I hold the wheel so it makes it even more noticable... Is there anyway of repairing it or should I just look into getting a replacement...
I don't think you'll have much luck in getting it back to perfect. Leather is a PITA. I work in furniture, and when we have a scratch in leather, we use our "stain sticks" (customers don't wan't to hear the word marker) to color it in so it's less noticeable. Being right on your had though, it may bleed onto your hands or wear off quicker so you'll have to keep coloring it back in. It might be worth a try for now until you find a suitable replacement. If you do decide to color it, start light and just dab a little at a time, you can always darken it, but you may not be able to lighten it if you go too much. We have a leather guy that comes to do our big jobs, (tears or big scratches) but I've never watched him to see the process.

Re: Scratched The Leather On Steering Wheel...
Check the Leatherique.com website for exact leather dye to correct the problem. Call them for specifics on any leather repair or treatment. I do not work for the company, just use their Leatheriqe and Pristine treatments periodically to make my Eldorado leather smell and feel like factory leather.
