I`m currently trying to upgrade my 1970 Deville Convertible with new seats from a 1994 STS. I`m going to custom fit them so dont worry about that. Im a lil concerned about wheather the rear bench seats will fit in the back of the 1970 but i`m hoping for the best.
My main question is how to go abouts removing the seats from the 1994 STS. I`m not a mechanic but me and my friend think we can do it.
Can anyone tell me some of the steps i will have to take to do this for Both Front Bucket Seats and the Rear Bench.
-What bolts or Tracks i will need to remove.
-What kind of tools will i need.
-What i will need to look out for.
-How Difficult of a job is it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Not sure on a 94, but my brother has a 97 Seville and for him it was I think removing 4 nuts, unplug a couple harnesses and lift them right out, he said he was able to pull both front seats in about 15 minutes. Now I don't believe that was removing the tracks, but a quick look with a flashlight under the seat should be able to tell you.
The Seville seats will be really easy to remove tracks and all. Not sure of the exact size of the sockets you will need though. I did a seat swap with a 94 STS and removal took like a half an hour total. Post some pics when your done.
