Black is the lonliest number that you've ever seen...

Well, finally after an hour here or an hour there, and with no rain for two weeks (but plenty of dust!!!) the Batmobile is about as good as it's gonna get from this rank amateur. Every time I looked from a different angle, I found another minor swirl or small scratch, or found a pit that wax collected in..but with black, you'll never get perfect. After five years of outdoor life, the Eldo is probaby as good as it's gonna get unless I drive all the way to Gary's shop.. lol

Jim, that looks great. Don't kid yourself. BTW, love the "Darwin" fish. Silly catholics. A+ job!

Makes me want a black car... for about 2 minutes.

Looks good. We used a lot of Insulator Wax in the 80's, it lasted really long for wax before the synthetic's came out.

Interesting you should say that - when I tackle the Deville in a few weeks I'm toying with the idea of going all synthetic - From AIO to SG to ??? - apart from Zaino, (no offense, obviously you'd think IT was good..) do you have any recommendations for a synthetic to use on non-metallic black? I am leaning more towards shine and gloss as opposed to longevity, since I don't mind tossing another coat on every 6 weeks or so.

Re: Black is the lonliest number that you've ever seen...

Klasse is a good german synthetic....looks really good on black, I find its a deeper wetter look then Zaino.

AIO is great tho, man, why give that up? Pinnacle and Wolfgang are worth looking at too.

Re: Black is the lonliest number that you've ever seen...

Not giving it up at all - what I meant was that I would apply AIO, then SGx2, and then.. what? I didn't really think that SG as the topper would be adequate, perhaps I'm wrong.
