They just like to write tickets down there.
EDIT: Here's a link. Looks like this is just some more legislation geared around generating revenue. http://officer.com/article/article.j...ion=6&id=24039 |

Here is the link to check current and detailed restrictions. Some states have changed so check locally or from a long time tinting company..don't trust the police with the laws, they have no idea most of the time what is legal or not. http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Consumer_In...statelaws.html |

Doctors excuse or not you can still get a ticket on state codes. State laws are different than city..here the tint can be 50% for the front and any on the back but if a cop says he couldn't see into your car, it's a ticket. |

Bottom line! I think the discrete look is the way to go. I still don't have mine tinted and like the fact that I don't have to worry about the police. I still would like to slightly tint them all the way around though. I guess if I were a hot lookin' chick, it would be all good, unless I got pulled over by a female officer. lol. The only problem I have with the doctor's note is that you still might get pulled over and checked out which isn't cool. I mean, it's probably in their computer in the car but I don't think they will care.

The cop wrote it up as obstruction of vision. 2 points and a $100 fine is the penalty. This is my 4th tint ticket but the first one that was ever written up for points. |

I hope it doesn't happen to my wife, her new car has some pretty dark tint all the way around (except windshield). The reciept says the dealership put it on. |

Hint: If a cop pulls you over at night, turn on your dome light as soon as you see the blinkety blues. He will be much easier to get along with if he can see inside. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
