Collector Series Chrome Rims

I'm looking at the rims on my '02 Collector Series Eldorado, and they're not looking too good. Unfortunately, the car has really low miles, but the rims didn't fare too well and they're starting to peel and get pitted around the corners of the spokes. Anyone have any experience with having rims re-chromed? I've got to do something, the rest of the car is like new. I'd rather not drop the money on new rims, but I want it to look nice... Is re-chroming a good option?

Re: Collector Series Chrome Rims

Personally, I have never had anything re-chromed, but I have worked at a rod and custom shop, and they would send rare parts off to be chromed all the time. Most of the time, parts came back looking better than they would have from the factory. If they are that collectible, and re-chroming is less expensive or about the same price as finding new ones, I think you would not be sorry if you had your OEM ones re-chromed.

Re: Collector Series Chrome Rims

Take a look and call www.wheelcollision.com . Nice work and not cheap: a good chrome job is NEVER cheap. A cheap chrome job is always cheap, and will fall apart faster than a Taiwan valve cover.
