I have a 96 caddy deville and i'm in the market for dubs and a shop told me spinners don't work on fwd cars. IS THIS TRUE and if so WHY?????? |

Although spinners are not my idea of a nice set of wheels, I see no reason why they would not work on a FWD. the spinners have no idea which wheels are driving the vehicle.

yea it sounded weird because i saw a cadddy just like mine but blue with spinners on it.
He does sell spinners but he said they will poke out about a mile SO TO SPEAK.. |

With a RWD car, the offset of the wheel is deeper than a FWD car. So the spinner will sit "inside" the wheel of a RWD, and "ouside" of a FWD. Will they work on FWD? Yes. Will a spinner look as good on a FWD? No.

'IF' they won't work there is only one reason I could think of. Offset. FWD cars have an offset as such to leave no 'lip' on the outside of the rim this leaving no room for the spinner.
EDIT: OOPs. I guess I just said the same thing as Dadillac. Sorry.

all depends on the wheel. are you going real spinners or cheap bolt ons? i did bolt on spinners on a fwd fleetwood hearse and it looked like ass. the spinner stuck out way to far and looked like garbage. if u do bolt ons get a rim with a nice lip to sink the spinners in. and get the short adapter lugnuts for them, not the long ones the come with |

wht i would do is get the name of the rims google them adnd find out the spacing and if you know your caddis lug spacing a nd i think its 5x 115 . chances is the rim is rwd and they are right for some reason fwd caddies rims do poke out that one reason i stick to my rattling hubcap |

Actually, they will work. Flawlessly at that. I know multiple people who have them on their front wheel ricemobiles.
Please don't do this. get a 20" hand spoked wheel. 100x more impressive than anything that spins. (besides the wheel itself) | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
