Re: Cleaning Vouges?

Vogue Tyre makes their own whitewall cleaner - and it is by far the BEST thing to bring those white and gold stripes back to their former glory - and dead easy to use, as well. Just spray it on and wipe it around the tires a bit - hose off.

BlecheWhite can also be used in a pinch - but is NO recommended for any kind of long term care - it'll affect the white stripe in a most negative way,,,,,

Re: Cleaning Vouges?

I've been told that Simple Green is safe for vogues, but don't quote me on that, I've never been able to try it.

Re: Cleaning Vouges?

VOGUE TYRE CLEANER will leave them looking like this, ie: Blue/whiter-than-white and golder than gold. I finish the white/gold areas with an application of Gary's sealant - helps keep them clean, and it's easy to just wipe them down afterwards to get rid of any brakedust.

After using the cleaner, I go over the black portion of the sidewall with MEGUIAR's ENDURANCE tire gel (the version that leaves a natural sheen - not glossy), being careful to ONLY get the gel on the black area. If you go this route, be sure to wipe down any excess gel left on the black - that stuff can "fling" around if you just hop into the car after applying and head out!

Re: Cleaning Vouges?

Yeah, pinhead - try that SOS pad crap with a Vogue and see how long you continue to have a good looking tire on your car.

Re: Cleaning Vouges?

I have been using Westley's Bleche-Wite for a few years. It does a good job and does not damage the tire. It is less expensive than the Vogue tire cleaner. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Cleaning Vouges?

yeah. I used some SIMONIZE up here that had that bleche-white in it before I bought the Vogue tyre cleaner. It worked well - but it wasn't as easy to apply as the Vogue stuff - that is literally spray on and whisk away with a soft nylon brush = no scubbing to speak of.
