Does this really work to rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola? |

If the bumper is rusting nothing is gonna stop it unfortunately. To remove the rust already showing take some good chrome polish, that'll take pretty much anything off. |

It might work, but I don't see any reason to try it as chrome polish should take as much or more off. |

For coke , man wouldn't it be a Pepsi lol
There are some products for re-chroming and I think you can get the best results with them . |

Funny thing...I am browsing here as I watch mythbusters who are about to test this very thing...coke and foil against chrome polish on a bumper!
I'll post again after the segment....
This is too freaky! |

OKay they just showed cola ina bunch of different uses. It cleans up blood better than soap and water and believe it or not it does clean a bumper with surface rust better than a chrome polish. Although, you do need to clean the bumper with soap and water after the soda application cause it leaves a sticky residue. So yes it works according to mythbuster! |

Coke is quite acidic. Most pop is around 2.5 on the pH scale. No wonder it cleans things up! | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
