    2009 CTS P0008 code

Well, I guess I was due, but sadly my 09 is 3 months out of it's 5 year power train warranty.
I am hoping a customer care rep will reach out to me and help get this common problem resolved.
In my occupation I encourage my clients to buy American, I hope Cadillac will do the right thing so I can
    Continue endorsing GM products.
Does any one have any suggestions ?
    Thanks
    Gordon

    Hello Gordon,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. I can definitely understand that concerns that arise outside of warranty, like the P00008 code that you are experiencing in your CTS, can be frustrating. We wouldn’t be able to guarantee any assistance would be available, but we would definitely like the opportunity to look into the situation. Could you private message us with your name, contact info, VIN, mileage, and dealership that you are working with? Could you also explain the concern that you are experiencing with your vehicle as well? We hope to hear back from you soon.

You click a member's username and use the "Private message" tab. Until you have been a site member for a while you are severely limited in ability to store multiple PMs. If you get a limit message you'll have to delete one or more to allow further messaging.

.................... "Does anyone have any suggestions ?" .....................

I hope you have very, very, very deep pockets if you intend to use a dealership for out-of warranty service. Kind of an obvious fish hook you threw out there: "You fix my car or I'll badmouth Cadillac !"

No one has all the thousands of DTCs memorized. Please post the definitions with your code number.

If you want the code to go away you can replace the timing chains.

With 65,000 miles and 5 years old, this kind of issue should not be so prevalent and for the sake of their reputation they should make this right. I am work with customer support and they are making the correct moves
