Probably wrecked and repainted. Does it have a salvage title?

I personally have bought two used cars that had a "clean history". But both of them were in some sort of accident before me. I found this out when I took some stuff apart to install new headlight bulbs or what not.

Like on my CTS, have to remove the bumper cover. When I did that, I saw the passenger side bumper all smashed in. Then I saw other clues.

So I will never trust a CarFax or a Certified Pre-Owned ever again.

Besides, you don't know where the previous owner lived/ worked. They could of been near a factory that had given an acidic fallout one day. And it took a while for it to show in the paint.

That's great to hear. Post some pictures of it when you get her back.

Sale papers are full of flood cars and wrecks with clean paperwork. How else do you figure the shady sellers are going to unload them?
