2003 CTS Anti Theft Engaged After Replacing Alternator PLEASE HELP!!!

Just put my 2003 CTS in the shop to replace the alternator because the Service Electrical and Service charging System light came on. I assumed the alternator was bad because the last day I drove my car, the volt readings went from 12 Volts to 10 in a matter of 15 mins, then the car would not start. The battery was 2 months old so took it back to Oreillys and they replaced it. Now the car is still at the shop with a new alternator, but the anti-theft system is engaged. The car will start, radio works, ect but can not get it out of park or able to remove the key. A service guide states using the key-less entry will disengage the anti-theft, but the repair shop is saying that's not working. Any ideas as to what I need to do?
