Playable video Files, if any. DVD MP3 disc

Has anyone been able to play any video file types? Either burned onto CD, DVD, or put on a flash drive. Like .AVI, .MPEG, .MP4, etc.

Also, I burned a DVD data disc full of MP3s and the system could not read it. I would think if the system could read a MP3 CD it should read a MP3 DVD. Any one been able to play a MP3 DVD? I can use flash drives so this is not a big deal, just curious.

The only way I've gotten it it to play avi's etc is to burn it to a dvd video. You cannot fit nearly as many movies onto a disc as burning it as a data dvd (I couldn't anyways). But this does work.

Thanks. I tried loading mpg, avi, mkv, wmv, and mp4 files. Sorry to report, but none of them would play. I guess I will have to burn dvd videos.

The head unit is made my Alpine. I am a little disappointed it cant play video files. Oh, well I guess I don't need to watch a movie on my way to 60mph in 3.9 sec

Just tested a DVD with 72 albums of mp3s. It plays just as from the HD or USB. It will read all the mp3 tags.
Windows reports the file system of the DVD as CDFS.
I used Nero to create it.
