Is it just me or does that wood trim completely change the look of that interior? It's shocking how low-rent the silver/black checkerboard print "CF" is IMO.

That Sapele wood elevates the V's interior quality & class 10x, nice!
I agree. That's why I was excited when they started offering the Saepele wood trim option at the end of '09 models, and for the '10's. I think it looks much better than the fake carbon fiber trim.

If you haven't seen the Saepele wood in person, it really looks great. It's a very rare African wood, and the grain on it looks almost 3 dimensional and has great depth to it. My mother's SRX has it, and having seen it on her car, I knew I had to have it for my '10 CTS-V. It's stained darker on the V, but it still looks nice (saw it on a CTS-V that my dealer had on the lot).

My wife has it on her 2010 srx-4. I personallly don't give a rats ass about the fake CF on my 09 v. I bought it for the performance and handeling.

LOL...not particularly; I'm a "Zoolander" fan, which is a Ben Stiller movie. My forum name comes from Will Ferrell's character in Zoolander

Off-topic

^^^^ LOL. The "Mugato" was supposed to be called "Gumato" in an original Star Trek episode; however, the actor DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy) could not pronounce the name correctly--so the name "Mugatu" was used all the way through the episode. Mugato is still frequently misspelled Mugatu to this day.

Do you have any photos of your interior trim pieces installed? Sapele wood certainly sounds nice, would like to see the finished product.
As promised (once again, this is Sapele Wood trim (2008+ CTS) not Midnight Sapele Wood trim (late 2009-2010 CTS-V)):

I like how this "dry carbon" fabric looks. Lots of the BMW people are doing this now.

Now that looks great! While the wood trim is very classy I think that the Dry Carbon is more fitting to the cars personality.
