Best thing to do is to make a cardboard cut out to block off the rotor and sand then respray them gray. Once painted, shoot a couple coats of clear over them from a aerosol and then put the wheels back on and you should be good. Bit of work, but maybe something nice to do on a slow Sunday. |

I am a car guy but I pay people to do this type of work. Again thanks all and I will let you know what comes from this. |

We are both in Florida so maybe the heat has something to do with it? | More ammo for me...Thank you... |

I have taken it back to the dealer I was told that this is normal and if I want to have it fixed it will cost me.
So I went home took off each wheel at the time removed rust with a steel brush and applied high temperature aluminums paint.
I did it 2 year ego and the rust did not come back.
Here in Montreal the winters and the salt are pretty bad but the fix worked for me. |

We have some of the highest humidity in the country here in west central FL. |

Missed my post # 11 on page 1, huh? I've only had the car a little over 2 months, and it has about 360 or so miles on it. I purchased it as another toy to keep my turbo Buick from getting lonely. It's gets out ever other weekend, other than that it is in an enclosed car-port and covered 24-7. It gets wiped down with quick detailer and microfiber every time that it goes out, or every day that it is out. It's not like I dote over it or anything. I intensely dislike the looks of rust on the hats and I intend on keeping them from rust / corrosion until I get it to a shop to pull the wheel and paint the hats. |

Any suggestions or similar problems? Just spoke to Al Harter, Team Service Manager up at Dew Cadi. No, GM won't "clean up the rust" but Dew Cadillac WILL at no cost to me. This is just another good reason to do business with Dew Cadillac in St. Petersburg!!!
I'll let you know how it turns out... |

Any suggestions or similar problems? Just got it back from Dew. Thanks to Al and Deniz at Dew Cadillac in St. Petersburg, the caps look like new. Here is another example of excellent service from a Cadi dealer with a great reputation!!
Oh...Just got a look at a 2010 V. Black, loaded. Looks nice but I do believe mine looks just as nice!!! | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
