Bugs! Damn bugs!

Well, I bought a 3M clear bra for my V. This weekend I started to do a super cleaning of the front end before I was to have the bra installed and after thoroughly washing the front a half dozen times I cannot seem to get rid of the bug 'scars'. I don't want to use a rubbing compound. Any suggestions?

3M adhesive remover.

Its made from limeonene a citrus product...

If that does not work try Goop...but that is pretty harsh stuff.

Just use Meguairs scratch X to remove them off - simple!

This weekend I had to go all the way to the Griots Garage Fine Cut Polishing Compund to get them off the front of the outlook, nothing else would budge. After a few light rubs, it all came right off. Also took a clay bar and Griots Speed Shine to the whole vehicle to get off all kinds of little specs of something. Anyways the two combined ripped off everything and it looks better than new!

The car is completely untouched from factory delivery. I only have ~1,900 miles on it and it's always garage kept.

This stuff is the shiznit! Quickly removes bugs (I was surprised @ how quickly it does!), water spots, polishes the shiny black plastic on the center console and cleans up the chrome to a mirror finish! Worth every single penny IMO. Makes future car washes MUCH faster.

how long do you let the bugs sit on your paint? also, did it bake in the sun? if the bugs (like love bugs -- very acidic) sit for too long, they will etch the clearcoat and nothing can fix that... Hope that is not your situation though.
