The regular CTS jacking points are covered by trim so we can't use the pinch weld jacking points shown in the owner's manual.
The shop manual (page 1-26) shows lifting by the torque boxes (front and rear). My floor jacks (I have three different ones) won't reach the torque boxes while clearing the lower trim.
By the way, I have RaceRamps. They work great, just not to get to the tires, brakes, etc. |

The vette has openings behind the rockers, to which pucks are installed. These pucks allow a floor jack to reach a solid jack-point before other parts of the jack hit the sills.
So it has me wondering if the CTS-V has the same openings as the vette. |

What do the pucks look like and how do they mate with the Corvette lift points?

plan on checking my half shafts this weekend - the V is going up. I'll use the Ramps, and then look for a spot to use my floor jack once the
car is in the air, then put on stands - if I have to. My thought. |

should have gone. |

About the Racing Jack: Would it have enough clearance if the car was 1-1/2" lower (like you had a flat tire)? |

A picture is worth a thousand words. | This is a picture of one of several brands of pucks. They just slip up into a slotted hole, and then you twist.
Some vette owners buy hockey pucks and add a big Eye bolt (really, it's that simple). |

Thanks.

Re: Pucks - There is not a slotted hole for the pucks on the CTS-V. A puck might work but we will have to think up another way to attach them (magnets?). |

To clean the CTS V wheels and calipers the wheels have to be removed IMO. |

Ditto the raceramps, the 2 piece is just perfect. It almost hits the lower air dam, but it does not. They are easy to use and store.
I got lazy yesterday and did not try my pucks. Today is a honey do day, so we'll see. |

BMW makes them in two styles - round and rectangular. The round ones fit in the rear slotted holes.

My CTS-V does not have slotted hole in the front so I can't use either the Corvette pucks or the BMW pucks. I found Mercedes pucks that can be adapted to fit the round holes in the front jacking locations.
