Hockey pucks with a large screw eye or a toggle bolt work fine in the slots on the frame. That's what I used when I jacked the V to do the caliper painting.

Some vette owners buy hockey pucks and add a big Eye bolt (really, it's that simple).

i'm trying to piece together the hockey pucks.

which of these bolts would i need? i understand a #4, but what goes on the other end? and what length is suitable?

The vette guys just drill the puck all the way through, stick the eye bolt in it, and put a washer/nut on the other end. So the length of the bolt required is dictated by the depth of the puck you are using.

I think "#4" is a standard length and thickness, which happens to be almost exactly the thickness of a puck. Just drill a small pilot hole all the way through, then the hook will screw into the rubber and stay.

Do u not have a 09 CTS-V? I do & I have all 4 slots for pucks.
I just ordered a Corvette metal "Steel" puck from a Ebay seller.

Re: Jacking the CTS-V

I have an '09 CTS-V.

I have slotted holes for pucks in the rear but the holes in the front are not the same. The front holes are slightly elongated round holes - much smaller than the rear slots. The puck won't fit the front holes. I tried that before I devised an alternate solution.
