Voice tag for previous destinations?

Remove this ad
While I look for my NAV manual - I was wondering how you use the voice tag that is an option when you store a destination in the NAV system. I was hoping you could use it to set up the navigation (i.e. "Home").

Anyone use the voice tag option?

Thanks in advance.

Ed

I use it every time I enter and save a destination on my V2 NAVSYS. It is not hard to do. Read your manual and let repetition be your teacher.

RWFJR,

Still looking for the manual. How do you use the voice tag?

Thanks.

Re: Voice tag for previous destinations?

From the nav manual:

To add a voice tag to an address book entry:
1. Press the DEST hard key.
2. Select the Address Book screen button. A list of
address book entries will display. Use the scroll
arrows to the left to scroll through the list.
3. Select the address book entry to change.
4. Touch the Add Voice Tag screen button.
5. The system will ask for you to state the name.
You will have two seconds to state the name.
The system will respond back with the name.

Re: Voice tag for previous destinations?

Or did you mean using an already stored voice tag?

Speech Recognition — Using
1. Push and hold the talk
symbol steering wheel
control until you hear
a beep. The audio
system will mute.
When you are in the navigation screens, the
system will display a symbol (|) while the speech
recognition is active.
2. Clearly state one of the commands

In this case,

Go <Voice Tag>

or

Go To <Voice Tag>

Re: Voice tag for previous destinations?

Can you change preloaded tags. My Hands free tag takes 3 to 5 attempts to get it right. I would like to change it to phone.
