It sounds pretty cool and I think it is something I would use.
GM & OnStar should be advertising more of this kind of stuff!

When you use MapQuest, after you find your location click on the link that says " OnStar " then you register once using your
OnStar account number, found on your plastic Onstar card.
then after you go through the process on your computer, takes minute, you send the information, your done.
Then when your in your V, punch the telephone icon on the rear view mirror, and say the words " virtural adviser ", then follow the instructions.
The system downloads to the Nav screen, and fills out the
information. You can save the information or not
saves loads of time, which shows this NAV system is the best and easy to use, even a M5 or M3 guy can do it.

Despite that, it is a great way to enter a new destination and then save it in the address book. |

never had a problem, maybe you ought not park the V in that bunker the V may not be getting the signal, those pesky lead line bunkers are troublesome. |

After hitting the "send to onstar" button, it asks for the account and zip code. It doesn't seem to allow a 6 digit canadian postal code.
I'll kepe looking online though, but if I can't find it I'll give onstar a call from the car later tonight or in the morning and see if they can help. |

Ok, what if one had and office, at home, work or you were at the airport. You just got a call or memo telling you that you were to go someplace, or your wife told you to go to a "place" you had no knowledge of....... to speed up the process, so that one had the information waiting for you at your V. takes 30 seconds to get MapQuest to get the info loaded into the system and when.. one
gets to said V, you take 5 seconds to have the stored information
loaded into your screen Nav system, and all the information including phone number. One can store all this info as usual in your Nav system
Your usage, ability, and such may vary using this feature. |
