The eNav system through MapQuest is currently not available in Canada, but tell them to look for news later this year.

We get a year of that for free. After that year, it's either $29/month, or $300/year. The lesser-expensive OnStar package, "Safe and Sound" is $19/month or $200/year. The only thing S&S doesn't include is the Nav option.
So, essentially, you're paying an extra $10/month or $100/year for this feature. Is it worth that added cost?

Thanks for checking! I didn't get a chance to call them today. I guess us Canadian owners are out of luck for now. Sounds like a useful feature though. |

All it does is send the address of your stored destination to the Nav.
If it were able to send the specific route (like, for instance, say I know a certain turn is better than another one...) to the Nav system, I'd say this might be worth experimenting with some more. But all it's sending is destination information. Not very useful IMHO.

To sit here on my laptop and look at mapquest and download destinations to my V is simple, then one you have all the information downloaded and saved in the address book, this includes the phone numbers of where you may be going, it is nice not to have manually input the info.
Free extras with the system are to me very welcome, give me more |

I got real good multi year deal with onstar....
It is an additional Free service Onstar provides....
But, since one has to pay for it I am glad to do so....
Some pay thousands for mods that void their warranties, I opt out. I do not worry about them. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
