I left downtown today at 3:20pm. Took Lake Shore Drive. Didn't arrive home until 6:00pm. It's usually only a 23 minute drive.

The tires were a life saver. I actually called chris1268 on the way home to make sure his V was under lock and key. I had very little slippage and you know how awful it was. The T/C system worked wonderfully. It was actually better under heavier gas. I guess this allowed more intervention. My only real worry was the heroes driving the SUVs thinking they were superman.

I will be driving this car every minute I get. I couldn't use the HP today, but I sure enjoyed the creature comforts.

Took me 1.5 hours to get from North side of Naperville to South side. A whopping 9 miles.

That is no doubt. On Sunday night at 11pm I was driving back from wheaton on rt 88 and the temp got down to 19 degrees while it was raining and a yukon passed me going like 75 mph I was thinking that darwinism was gonna run its course on him for sure

You might wanna sit this one out - sounds like the ice they are calling for is going to be brutal, and even if you make it there are a lot of idiots out there in SUV's that think 4X4 means they can drive just fine on ICE.

^ yea guys keep an eye out for sure. We are supposed to get hit with like 8-11inch tonight than another 1-3 tomorrow and also ontop of all that another 1inch of solid ice. You guy that ice and the snow on top of it and it doesnt matter if you have a monster off road truck, you will get stuck in the snow and just spin on ice sitting there. The only safe people driving in this are the people with studded/chained winter tires.

"Hyperblack" looks rather gray to me. It would probably go really well with a Thunder Gray CTS.

Yes, the pictures were taken at my team unit garage on the North track.

Yes Sir! A couple of times. I went for a Hyundai Genesis drive there and a couple of times to watch some Buddies drive their Z06's on the Big track! That's a Really Nice place, but a little too rich for me! Luckily enough, they get some club days that allow us "Mere Mortals" to drive on the track, but I haven't taken advantage of that yet! I'm just thinking of getting a Vee, but don't know if I want to give up my Vette yet! I've got an invitation to drive one, but don't know if I want to take it because of the "If I drive it, I'll want it" scenario!

Have you tracked your Vee on there yet? It'd be like the Mini Nurburgring!
If so, how did it feel/run? My impression is that it's a civilized race car with some Corvette C6R blood running through its veins/oil pan!

What racing team are you on?

I have not tracked the V2 yet. We do not open until the end of March. I run a T1 car (C5 Z06) in SCAA and will run the C6R in a few NASA events for fun.

I still say we should shoot for a CTS/CTS-V track day if there are enough within realistic driving distance.
