Anyhow, i didn't see this posted anywhere.
Since i cant post direct links, i have discovered if you go to GM supplier discount website (Google "GM Supplier Discount" and its the first result) and click on build a vehicle (either next to the Malibu or further down the page) you can build a 09' CTS-V on the following pages. I believe the only option that is missing is the RECARDO seats. |

No, not there. | | | Re: Price your CTS-V on the GMS website You might want to check the "Auto vs. Manual" thread before making such a broad statement. Aside from the fact that a lot of people drive in traffic, have bad knees or just plain don't feel like shifting, the Auto is faster 0-60 than the manual.
Emphasis on "faster".....

Emphasis on "faster"..... | What Tony said!
Besides, I have never missed a shift in an automatic - can you say the same for a manual? |

Emphasis on "faster"..... | The auto is faster? Can someone draw me a diagram here?
Autos are heavier and lose power going through the transmission, as they are not direct drive. And it's very common for manuals to have gear-multiplication advantages.
Not that I'm doubting your veracity, I'm just not understanding how that's possible, all other things equal. What am I missing? |

| | Cadillac Owners Connoisseur | | | | | Re: Price your CTS-V on the GMS website The auto has better gearing in the lower gears. As of the tests released so far, the automatic has seemed to edge out the manual in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
Despite those numbers, I'm still hoping the manual is, in fact, capable of pulling better times than the auto. Don't ask me why, but I'd just feel more comfortable with that being the case. It just feels right. <shrug> Probably, cuz I want the manual.
Kinda rationalizing the discrepancy by posing that it's just easier in the auto, whereas the manual requires a bit more finesse. Therefore, I'm still holding out <fingers crossed> for a mag that is actually able to demonstrate that the manual puts down more impressive specs.
Just start the race at 175. |

It'll add another $3K to the price of the car, because the Recaros are required for the swede option. Then, if you don't want the swede, uncheck it. The price will still reflect the Recaros. You just won't see them in the options list.
Also, the gas guzzler tax difference isn't shown in the list. But, its contribution (oof!) to the final price will show up in the option price.
